LABOR POLITICAL NEWS NOT ENDORSEMENT
President C. A. Fink, of the State Federation of
Labor baa issued a statement to the effect that a News
Article in a Labor paper is not an endorsement. He states
that “It is not the policy of the State Federation of La
bor to endorse anyone for such high of ices, yet, the ex
ecutive board may make recommendations to its mem
bership as to the qualifications of candidates, or assy issue
statements setting forth why certain men should not re
ceive the support of labor” x x x A .
Then the state president goes on to state that he
“simply wanted to make these facts clear to one and alL
This is simply a statement to the effect that Labor

, as a rule, will vote for the friends of Labor and will

crats, Republicans, Socialites, etc., in the Labor Move

vote is impossible.
President Fink is very wise in making his statement,
for it will prove a factor in barring many “hi-jaekers
who would fleece the candidates and sell Labor short.
President Fink referred particularly to those seeking
the nomination for Governor.
And — when any man, or set of men come to you
candidates to sell you the labor vote eu bloc, beware,
for it cannot’ be dene.
