We have noth ing to gain by refusing to ac knowledge the facts in regard to the lone-wolf foreign policy of So viet Russia. Our government must : resist firmly all attempts to aet up spheres of influence which ignore the democratic rights of the peo ple affected. Only in this way can the United States make its full contribution to future world peace as a major factor in the new Unit ed Nations Organisation. Miss Margaret Truman christened the American Airlines Flagship Washington on a Friday morning in late November, and with that splendid start the big ship took off into skies over Washington enroute to London, and return. It carried the first commercial round-trip flight between the two great countries on different sides of the Atlantic Ocean. That was the beginning of a regular commercial service that will leave Washington every Friday at 11 :©0 a. m. and arrive in London 18 hours and 36 minutes later, and return to Washington on the same schedule. This is just another beginning in establishing permanent commercial transportation through the air, throughout every part of the World. Already the airways are making American railroads sick to their stomachs. ..........____ COMPULSORY COOL-OFF URGED BY TRUMAN (Continued From Page 1) the President shall appoint a fact finding hoard withm 5 days.
