been great and all AFL members are appreciative of their
untiring efforts to wisely guide their movement forward.

First President of the American Federation of Labor. Be
loved by all American Labor. Mr. Gompers’ great deeds will
ever be remembered by those whom he served and also by
those who have inherited the rich results of his wise leader
shin. He and Frank Morrison laid the groundwork for the
A. F. of L. movement we know today.
