C. dramatisation on “The People Act,” a new radio series to be heard over the NBC network on Saturday evenings, 7-7:30 p, m. Eastern Standard Time, begin ning December 9. Each episode in this new na tionally significant 13-week radio series tells the story of how a group of Americans, using demo cratic methods, acted together to solve some of the economic and social problems confronting them. It is produced jointly by the Twentieth Century Fund and the “Living 1960” program unit of the National Broadcasting Com pany. A guest speaker, an au thority in his particular field, I uses factual findings from the i Twentieth Century Fund to point out how the stories apply to oth er communities and to the nation. The program employs a new technique which is inspirational, highly dramatic, and full of meaning — recording on-the-scene voices of the actual people who lived the story. It is done in documentary style with NBC’s Ben Grauer, the only profes sional on most of the programs, as commentator, and Elmer Mc Kee, who originated the series’ idea, as field reporter. Fish Fritters (Welcome Friday or any* day) t cups cooked fish * eggs I tablespoons floor Salt 1 tablespoon onion juice 1 tablespoon minced parsley 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce Free the fish from skin and bone and mash to a paste. Beat the egg yolks until thick and lemon colored and add to them the flour, salt, onion and parsley. Stir in the fish and' the Worcestershire Sauce and fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
