Olson BUTCHERS CONVENE ON COAST, JUNE 23 Chicago—The 18th general con vention of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America convenes in San Francisco June 23 at the Civic Auditorium. Eight hundred and 24 delegates were entitled to seats at the last convention in St. Louis. Since then the membership has in creased about 60,000. Earl W. Jimerson, president, said that an increase to 100,000 is expected between the 18th convention and the 19th to be held in 1956. More than any other emblem the Union Label insures security for America.
