Beginnirg the fir&t of this month,
last Sunday night, the Scotland Neck
electric light plant put on an all
night current. This is only for the
residences, the street lights being
turned off at midnight, as usual.
The paople of the town greatly ap
preicate this movement on the part
of the town commissioners, and feel
gratified that the success of the en
terprise is such as to enable the town
to keep up the all-night current.
The service is as gsaad as can be
found any where in the country and
it is well for all people in town to
patronize it who can.
Of course electric lights cost a lit
more than kerosene lamp light, but
when one takes into consideration
the convenince and the readiness of
the service there is not so much dif
ference.
