Final EecitiL
The final recital in the music de
partment of Scotland Neck graded
ichool occurred last Friday night.
For four year3 such recitals have
been given in the school, but never
before has ' such an audience been
present at an exercise of the kind.
The auditorium was filled Friday
night and standing room in the hall
ways and about the entrance was at
a premium.
There were twenty-cne renditions
and the entire programme did credit
both to the teachers and the pupils
who participated.
The music department of the
school i3 under the direction of Mre.
W. R. Bond, assisted by Miss Lizzie
Hyman, and the performance Fri
day night was quite complimentary
to .them in the good training they
are giving their pupils.
The good order which prevailed
throughout the exercise was quite
remarkable. It is not an easy mat

children
