It is a settled point In newspaper ethics that eHito Vid publishers are not responsible for the ! e s of corVespoudents, and the publication of a cn'numicationoes not mean that the editor or nuhlishe' endorses the communication. This is one of the most pain ful duties of a public journalist but brave men do not shirk the unpleasant and only perform the pleasant duty. The editor of this paper wants it under stood that he has love for all men and malice towards none, but in the performance of what he considers a public duty and trust he will print the news, decry evil and crime, and faithfully and fearlessly, with all of his energy and ability hue to the standard of purity nnd honesty, let it hit whom it may, high or low, rich or poor, . without fear of any conse quence. The editor of this paper will not attack any pri vate citizen; but public records and acts of public officials will roceiye his approval and sup port or denunciation, as the case may demand according to his judgment and conscience as he sees it. No individual or parties will be attacked for personal or par tisan effect but, when in the iudarment of the editor of this paper the public good demands it, no influence will deter him from doing his full duty as he sees it. We live by our blood, and on it. We thrive or starve, as our blood is rich or poor. There is nothing else to live on or by. When strength is full and spirits high we are being re freshedbone, muscle and brain, in body and mind with continual flow of rich blood. This is health. When weak, in low spirits, no cheer, no spring, when rest is not rest and sleep is not sleep, we are starved; cur blood is poor; there is Utile nutriment in it. Back of the blcjd to food, to keep the blood rich. When it fails, take SCOTT'S EMULSION It sets the whole body going again man, woman and child.
