members of "Southern Good Roada"

Corporation tax which is pr id direct
to the Treasurer had not been dis
tributed to the road funds of tlu
different townships to which it be
longed (this delay having been

the matter having been settled in
court.)
3rd. The holding of several meet
ings of the Directors of the Associa
tion and plans for better and road
legislation discussed .
4th. By confering with our Re
presentatives in the legislature, the
former road law was changed to the
one now on the statute books, which
is effective June 1st.
Also a law was passed authorizing
the county to vote on a bond issue

then, with well chosen remarks and
in graceful manner, introduced the
soeaker, Mr. Ashby Dunn.
Mr. Dunn, after expressi
his
delight in being at Mullens again
and his appreciation for the cordial
welcome he had received, spoke to
she pupils c-neornirg the importance
of their work, the joy and the bene
dt they could derive from it in pro
portion to the determination which
they went "at it," and the spirit in
which they renamed "at it." He
impressed upon them the far-reaching
inauence of following a' worthy
example, and illustrated its effects
by reciting the story of "The Great
Scon; Fa'jft." Speaking to. the
friends and patrons of the school he
called upon them for greater loyal ty
in the school's behalf, a more pro-
