Light weight, powerful, six-cylinder motor of Saxon design, manu
factured to Saxon specifications by the Continental Motor Company
This motor possesses marked power on minimum gasoline consump
tion. Ordinarily it will average 23 to 24 miles per gallon of gas. It
will accelerate from starting to 45 mles per hour in 24 seconds or
less. It is notably efficient in hill-climbing and develops great speed.
On an ordinary level road it will "idle" down to 1 1-2 miles per hour
and pull the car along steadily and silently. It has 2 7-8 bore and
4 1-2 inch stroke. Saxon "Six" wheelbase is 112 inches. Every
inch has been expertly utilized to promote the roominess of the car
and to further the comfort of the passengers. The front seat is gen
erously wide for two people. The back seat is more than big enough
for three occupants. And there is ample leg and knee room. The
finish is of a deep lustre and preserves its newness uncommonly long.
Tbsre is a two unit starting and lighting system by Wagner. No
better can be had at any price. There are Timken axles and full
Timken bearings throughout the chassis. These are the finest axles
and bearings built. Their life is indefinite their efficiency unfail
ing. The carburetor is the well known Stramberg. The driving
gear are helical bevel type. Running boards are linoleum covered
and strongly bound in aluminum. There are also demountable rims
and 32 x 3 1-2 inch tires. And you will find a score more of import
ant refinements. ' v
No car on the market at less than $1200 is comparable to "Sax
on Six" in equipment and conveniences.- We would like to show
