GRAND VIRGINIA DISCOVERY.
Some four months since our excellent townsman,
NaphtaliEzekiel, informed us that he had prepar
ed a hair restorer, with which lie was experiment
ing upon his own'Tiead, whose top was entirely
bald. We saw him two davs since, and on the
place so bald four months since,) a fine crop of hair
has sprung-np with a vigorous; growth. So con
rinced is Mr. Ezekil of the efticacy of his' discoTe- j
ry, that ho has named it "THE INFALLIBLE
VIRGINIA HAIR'RESTOREB." Mr. E. is about
going into an extensive manufacture ot an article
which is destined to prove of anxious interest to
our bald pated friends. Richutimd Enquirer, Die.
12,1850.' I j- "
This famous article can now be had of the princi
pal Druggists. Those persons I who desire a h'ne
head of hair, have only to use tae' restorer accord
ing to printed directions on jthe (bottle. " Those
who have any doubts of its etiicacy can have them
removed in a short time, by nsing the Virginia

A QUESTION FOR MATHEMATI
CIANS AND ECONOMISTS.
IF 1860 feet of gas ia consumed through eight
burners, in 9 nights, at a cost of $5 per thou
sand feet, how much ia consumed by each burner
per hoar? : at what coat, and what would be the
coat of an equal, amount of light obtained from
Kerosene Oil?. Answer; There ia consumed by
each burner 25 feet per night, or feet per hour,
at a cost of . 6 cents per hour per burner . . Four
Kerosene Lamps afford' as much light as Sjgas
burners; 4 gallons of Keroaene Oil will snpply 4
lamps one month; which, at $1,20, per gallon, is
$4,80 per inonth, or a coat of on J cent per hour
per lamp; therefore, by burninggas, the expense is
only six hundred per centum greater than to burn
