AGREEABLY to an order passed at September Term, 1865, of the Court of Pleas and Quar, ter Sessions, for the County of New Hanover (a copy of which appears below,) the undersigned, Chairman of said Court, wishes to borrow, upon the faith and credit of the County of New Hano ver, which is pledged for the payment of the same, the sum of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS, for the immediate support of the poor, and to defray other expenses of the County Bonds or Notes, signed by the Chairman and coundersigned by the Clerk, in sums of $500 and $1,000, payable in one and two years, with interest, will be issued.
