The Federal Employes. Unions are
only a year old, but there is today a to-
tai membership; or -Topre -nan iu,wu,
and where only a month ago there were
15 unions there axe now something like
40, gcattered from Maine1 to California.
Xhere has been an unwritten ; law j
among federal employees that, they

endorsed by' the biggest' department

come when it ; is recognized as some.

courseas this is a violatidnof law; but
this1 is not the prime object 'of any for-.

America today that does not belong xto

There is no body of meiTiu existence
in the United States that 'stands ready
to defend national honor quicker than
bur men; and there isnot a single one
who would do anything in contraven
tion of its rights; but we do feel that
the re -are a lot of rights and privileges
coming to lis as federal employees
which have long been denied or else
have been overlooked.
"I am today addressing a letter to the
heads .of unions in this city, - telling
them of our organization and assuring 4
them of their welcome te our meetings,
and hope wecan make everything cor
dial all round. 1 would have done , so
before, but did not have the list of offi

further, because ,.I . have been devoting
tit
most of my time outside of ray office to
getting new members into our organi

If at any time I can be of service to
you, I" shall be glod' to serve as far as
practicable, and feel sure that all our
membership will do the same.
