Editor Post : Dear Sir: I propose to say a few plain words concerning affairs generally here at the capital. , The session ot the Legislature has brgun, as you are all well aware. Party feeling still exists to a great extent among the mem bers that comprise the Democratic ku klux wing of the Assembly, Every - good, true citizen throughout the entire State was glad to see the boldness and candor that the old I - coaotv ot INew Hanover displayed when he. citizeDg throueh their talented representa over the country against' McAffee, Strud wick and Jones, all. members of the Legists ture, be investigated. New Hanover ought to receive the thanks of the whole, people for thus being the first comity to come lor ward and ask that these representatives of the ku klux be arraigned before the body in which they were permitted to occupy seats, through the treachery, intimidation and fraud practiced by the ku klux Democracy in the election sixteen months ago. It will lie remembered that thii petition was not even accepted by the flippant Democratic legislators. They dare not expose them selves to the searchings of the law, and tlfus made a party dodge by returning the Pon to the citizens of .
