Wc have to report that the same vessel Tvas cleared on yesterday by those gen tlemen with a cargo of 339,006 feet, an increase of 8,802 feet. Our harbor is full of vessels and the wharves look busy. There were on yesterday in port two steamers loading, fifteen barciues, seyen loading, four hrigs, three Joadlng. fifteen schooners, nine loading, and nine harbor boats, tugs, &c a total of forty-five vessels, and two barques, three tugs and one 1 , steamer below. A gentleman who left Xew Orleans on Friday last: states that the election on the 7th passed very quietly. There as but one affray, wherein two brothers were the combatants, and which re sulted in the death of one of them , lie says that the people are calm, but ueiernuneu to have a tair count.
