House is reported in a filthy condition,
with its inmates still badly demoraliz
ed. New interior barricades have been
improvised; among others one of all the
law books in the House, as a breast
works at the head of the staircase. Al-

ed to have died of heart disease. It
has transpired however, that during a
debauch last night, .about one o clock,
a melee occurred, in which two Metro
politans were shot and one named Au
cion died. It was with great difficulty
tha(t a stampede was prevented. The
wounded man is still iu the htatc
House. Another fight, in which pis
tols were drawn, occurred to-day.
