leaped upward today, following the
Russian Duma's rejection of the peace
terms and because it was reported
that the United States would not in
tervene at present. First sales show
ed as much as 8 1-4 a bushel rise. Ju
ly jumped -to $1.40 against $1.31 3-4
at yesterday's finish.

DIED ON THE TRAIN
Capt. Lockamy Passed Away
En Route to Philadelphia.
News was received here this morn
ing of the death of Capt. W. O.
Lackamy, a highlyfespected citizen of
Wilmington, which occurred lastriight
at or near Rocky Mount, on North
bound train No. "42, on which Captain
Lockamy left the city last night for
Philadelphia for treatment of his
throat from which he has been suffer
ing for some time.
Captain Lockamy, accompanied by
his son, Mr. Beverly Lockamy and
Dr. Arnold Stovall, left the city yes
terday afternoon at 6:45 o'clock. Cap
tain Lockamy, who was very ill at the
time was placed to bed in a Pullman
far. Attention was given him en route
from time to time, but on being called
after the train had arrived in Rocky
-fount it was found that he had passed
sway.

the Garrell building and has rendered
