Misses Francis and Ruth Wilson wer; nostesses to the Little Confederates chapter, C. of C, when it held its monthly meeting at fheir home on last Friday afternoon The guests were received on the ve randa, which'was attractively arrang ed for the occasion, the floral decora tions being roses and carnations. The monthly historical program, which was very appropriate at this time, as it dealt with the inconveniences caused by the blockade during the war be tween the States, was rendered. The acts of heroism and -the sacrifices of noble Southern women were im pressed on the children and all' who were old enough expressed a wish to pssist with the Red Cross work to be started here soon. An interesting musical program supplemented the historical one, closing with, "The Homespun Dress." The little hostesses served enjoy able refreshments during the social hour, which followed. The Christian Endeavor Society meeting was conducted by Mrs. Charles Carroll on last Thursday even ing. "How Lying Undermines The Character" was the subject of a paper by the leader, and was also used by Prof. m. H. Wooten for a short talk.
