Wilmington's enthusiasm and pa triotism over the Liberty Loan bonds, in eager desire not only to take big part in the big movement, but 0 measure Up fully to duty, appears now to be bubbling over. However, accord ing to those who are keeping tab, mere is still quite a distance to go so that this city,' in fact, this entire district reaches the goal set by the government, in its estimate of what each section should do. Therefore it behooves every one to get busy and bo the proud possessor of a Liberty Loan bond. The banks of the city are handling the flotation in true patriotic way, standing ready to aid every pur chaser by making it possible for the man or woman or child, to own a bond upon easy payments. The banks are doing fine service, both in stirring enthusiasm and in making it possible for all people to own the bonds. In Order to fociis attention the Wil mington Clearing House Association's committee, which has been constantly on the job for days, at a sacrifice of time, has adopted a plan that is meet ing with favor throughout the country. It has decided to request that all T "is to meet the artfulness, with which T Germany has sought to ensnare Rus .T sian public opinion. The American desperate agitation whicn nas oeen made in Russia and other countries un der the banner of social democracy and false pacifism. A copy (of the note) must be given to every soldier, workman and peasant. "It must open the eyes of everyone whose brain is not warped by the stu pid and criminal stories that the war was started bv camtalists tor tneir own benefit. The Russian democracy will be able to see the differences between the straight forward words, of the American democracy and the crude lies by which the servants of the German emperor are trying to - deceive the world." . h ; : : 4 NORWEGIAN STEAMER SUNK BY SUBMARINE Christiania (Via London), June 11.
