And Mr. Smith, it is said, is going to ask that the Bishop be called to book. The Mt. Airy man thinks a lot of his boy and some classmates who got in bad bishopncally. wnen six weeks ago the college tried to per Kiiflrifi thfi rptirihe seniors to efface their criticism of the Bishop, Raymond Smith was president of the class, ape had been graduated to enter me patri otic service. The senior Smith did as mucly as anybody to keep the trouble away from the papers. He' did not wish the world to know that Bishop Kilgo was stirring up the ancient trou ble, and both Smiths wished to pro tect the college from whatever criti cism might have come to it by reason of any radical effort to placate the . implacable Bishop. So the Smiths, pere and fits, did a big man's job to keep down publicity. The class was allowed to proceed, and until Bishop Kilgo returned last week there was no further trouble. When Mr. Smith comes here Tues day he will in all probability have his own say about the rumor that has pre ceded him. Certainly there Js no de nying the fact that he has been much perturbed by the Bishop's continued assault upon the 1917 class. The Mt. Airy gentleman belongs to the type whose accustomed state of mind isn't highly explosive. If he has set out to tote the Bishop to taw it will be in teresting whether the cleric knows it when he gets there or not.
