Accused of Slaying Policeman.

Manster, who is described by the po
lice as the king of "daylight flat-workers,"
was arraigned in court today for
trial on an indictment charging first
degree murder. Manster, at one time
a drug clerk and later a chauffeur, is
allegen to have abandoned both call
ings to turn robber, while living at
fashionable Boston hotels. The
crime for which he is to stand trial
was the murder of Mounted Police Of
ficer Josenh C. Reiser, who was shot
and killed when he surprised a thief,
