All last night and late yester day afternoon the wagons rolled in to be ready for the sales today which are now held three days in the week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fri days on account of the congestion and the lack of help. There were one and a quarter million puonds of tobacco on the market today and the price was off on account of the large amount and the poor grades that are now com ing to market and pulling the aver age down. The average todly was around thirty six cents. Our farm ers are selling their tobacco too fast. They should get out their cotto during this fine weather and let their tobacco alone until later. This will enable the buyers with their short help to care for the weed as it comes in and while this will also help to sustain the price for the de mand for tobacco is good.
