A2 I MARCH 8, 2017 BERTIE LED6ER-ADVANCE Community Obituaries The fabric of Bertie County since 1832 Bobby Neal Brown WINDSOR - Bobby Neal Brown 75, of Tennyson Lane, died Monday March 6, 2017 at Vidant Bertie Memorial Hospital. He was bom in North \^dlkes- boro December 5, 1941 to the late Lonnie and Car rie Hincher Brown. Bob was a member of Cashie Baptist Chmch and the Rotary Club. He served in the US Navy and was Commander of the Veteran’s Club in Windsor. Bob was the former manager of several plants; Blue Ridge Shoe Co. in Aulander, NC, United Shoe Machinery in Lynchburg, VA and Blue BeU Wrangler in Windsor, NC. He served as a Windsor Town Commissioner over the police de partment and the fire department. Funeral services will be held Thursday March 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Cashie Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Strother officiating. Burial with mili tary honors will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bobbie Jean Woodie Brown of the home; daughter, Jan TreviUian and husband, Bemie of Elizabeth City; brothers, Paul Brown and Harlan “Tub” Brown both of North Wilkesboro, Russell Brown of Flint, MI; grandchildren, Sarah Brown Robbins and hus band Marcus, Matthew and Beryamin TreviUian; great grandson, Jacob Neal Robbirrs all of Eliza beth City. The theme for the program will be food traditions and foodways in northeastern North Carolina.
