A2 I SEPTEMBER 27,2017 BERTIE LEDGER-ADVANCE Community Obituaries The fabric of Bertie County since 1832 Jeanette Castelloe Farless COLERAIN - Jeanette Castelloe Farless, 80, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Carillon of Knightdale Assisted Living. Mrs. Farless was bom in Bertie County on No vember 6, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Everett and Bertha Johnson Castelloe. She retired from the textiles industry after more than 35 years, and in addition helped run the family business, Far less Grocery, with her late husband, Leroy. A faith ful member of Colerain Baptist Church, she served as a Simday School teacher and choir member for over 30 years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie, and by her brother, Brody. Surviving are her son, Tim Farless and his wife, Kelly, of Cary; her sister, Mary Arm Smith of Co field; two brothers, Harlon Castelloe of Wind sor, and O’Neal Castelloe of Edenton; and by two grandsons, Grayson and Parker Farless. Funeral services vrill be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Colerain Baptist Church. A private burial will follow at Hfilcrest Cemetery, with Miller Fu neral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Eden ton, handling arrangements.
