Mamie Frances Leggett Hoggard
WINDSOR - Mamie Frances Leggett Hoggard, 87,
of Bun HiU Road, died Sunday February 25, 2018 at
the Brian Center in Windsor. She was bom in Ber
tie County November 12, 1930 to the late Arthur
Lloyd and Pauline Speller Leggett and was prede
ceased by her husband, Stanley Thomas Hoggard,
Sr.; granddaughter, Samantha Ross Hoggard; sis
ters, Christine Wynne, Helen Watson and a broth
er, Jimmy Leggett. Frances was a member of Ross
Baptist Church where she was a choir member and
Sunday school teacher for over 40 years. She grad
uated from Windsor High School and retired for
the Bertie County School system as a teacher’s as
sistant with 28 years of service. As a homemaker
she loved taking care of her grandchildren and el
derly parents. She loved gardening, cutting grass,
crafting and watching sports.

gard (Ronnie Bullock) of High Point; son, Stanley
T. Hoggard, Jr. (Grace) of AWndsor; granddaugh
ter, Sarah Hoggard Tripp (Jason) of Windsor; sis
ters, Rachel Mobley of Thomasville, GA and Shir
ley Nash of Merry Hill; brother, Gilbert Leggett of
Windsor.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday Febm-
ary 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Ross Baptist Church.
Dr. Jeffery Russell will officiate. Burial will follow
in the Church cemetery.
