KELFORD - A Kelford
man was found shot
dead lying in a ditch on
East Church Street in
his hometown.
Bertie County Sher
iff John Holley said his
office received a call
in the early morning
hours of Sunday that a
man was lying in a ditch
and didn’t appear to
be breathing. Officers
and medical person
nel were dispatched,
but the man died at the
scene.
The victim was Tar-
quin Delmar Fogg of
Church Street in Kel
ford. He was 31 years of
age.
On Monday, Sheriff
Holley said his officers
were on the scene and
in the surrounding area
in Kelford for countless
hours, but believes it
will be up to the com
munity to help bring
the murderer to justice, i

in four Bertie County
communities this Satur
day (April 17).
The clinics were
scheduled to feature
the Johnson & Johnson
one-shot vaccination,
but that will no longer
be the case. The fed
eral government has
paused the vaccine to
study some concerns
over blood clotting
by some who have re
ceived the vaccine.

Dream Team is a Christ-cen
tered, nonprofit organization
that provides opportunities for
all young people to hunt, fish or
enjoy any other outdoor adven
tures their hearts desire.
All young people, regardless
of the challenges they may face
- physical, emotional or other -
are welcome by the team.
Guides and RCYDT mem
bers are aware all challenges
may not be visible and focus
on making sure the participant
has a safe and enjoyable experi
ence.
In the decade the team has
served young people, they
have not seen a situation they
