PURPOSE This i a special type of school for boys and girls of the mountain region who need a place where they can pay part of their expenses with their work and obtain the kind of education and training that will best fit them for the lives they are to live. II. REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION Candidates for admission nlt be apt to learn, willing to work, sound of health, not under 15 years of age, and must have com pleted the 7th grade of a grammar school. After June 1, 1932, no boarding student will be admitted with out paying an entrance fee of $10 and an incidental fee of $5, haif at the cpening of each term, before being enrolled. . PLAN OF OPERATION AM students devote four days of each week to books and two days to work during the scholastic session of nine months. The plan requires a Jarge corps of teachers. Individual attention is given each student in a three-part system of book-learning, indus trial training, and development of personality and Christian char acter. This thieo-fold education is brought within the reach of boys end girls of limited means and earnest purpose who, in addition to the entrance fee of $10 and the. incidental fee of $5, can meet their share of the cost with money and work on one of the fol lowing plans: 1. by paying $100 in money, half on the first day of each term, without any work in the summer. 2. By paying $75 in money, halt on the fvrst day ot each term, with three weeks of work in the summer to be valued at $25. 3. By paying $50 in money, half on the first day of each term, with six weeks of work in the summer to be valued at $50. ' . 4. By paying $25 in money, half on the first day of each term, with nine weeks of work in the summer to be valued at $75. 5. By paying $15 in money for entrance and incidental fees, and with twelve weeks of work in the summer valued . ot $100. Only a limited number of students will be admitted under plan Number 5. All payments of work required in vacation must be made before the opening of the term for which the student enters. The School has to raise $200 per year from outside soturces for each boarding student. Admission is accordingly limited to the number of students that can be accommodated. Applications are now being received and placed on file. The list of students accepted will be closed on the first day of August.
