MISS HOOD IS BRIDE
OF J. J. MOORE
The following account of the
Hood-Moore wedding is from the
Atlanta Constitution
-The marriage of Miss Martha
Lucile Hood to Joseph Jackson
Moore, of Franklin, N. G, was
solemnized Wednesday evening,
July 1'2, at the home of the bride's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hood,
in Lawrenceville, Ga. Rev. J. 0.
McNeil, pastor of the bride, per
formed the ceremony.
The improvised crescent-shaped
altar was arranged in the living
room and was banked with ferns
and southern, smilax before which
stood graceful floor baskets filled
with pink and white gladioli.
Preceding the ceremony a pro
gram of nuptial music was rendered
by Mrs., William Hinton, pianist;
Miss Gertrude Crane, of Buford,
soloist, and William Barron, of
Winder, violinist.
Master Lamar Hood and Master
Robert Kelley, nephews of the
bride, held the ribbons forming the
aisle through which the bridal
party passed. Tapers were lighted
by Miss Mattie Hood.
Mrs! Paul V. Kelley acted as
her sister's matron of honor. She
wore a model of blue sheer crepe
with white accessories and carried
an arm bouquet of pink gladioli.
Paul V. Kelley, Jr., nephew of the
bride, carried the ring on a pink
satiir "pillow:
The lovely brida entered with
her brother, John J. Hood, who
gave her in marriage. She wore
an ensemble of navy honeycomb
crepe, the dress fashioned with a
cream lace yoke and puffed sleeves.
Her hat and other accessories
matched her gown and she wore
a shoulder bouquet of sweetheart
roses and lilies of the valley.
Mr. Moore had as his best man
Paul Carpenter, of Franklin, N. C.
Following the ceremony an in
formal reception was held. Mr. and
Mrs. Hood were assisted in en
tertaining by. Mrs, R. P. Hood, of
Cleveland, Tenn. ; Mrs. H. L. Hood
and Miss Myrtis Kelley.

Buddy Hurst, son of A. C. Hurst,
of Champaign, 111., is here visiting
his grandmother, Mrs. J. E. Hurst,
at her home on Harrison avenue.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Rumby Ray have
moved into their new home ' on

Mr. and Mrs. Roy C. Dady and
Miss Georgia Dady had as their
dinner , guest last Wednesday Miss

Dewey Rochester left Sunday
for Atlanta to have an operation
on his eye.

of Burnsville, arc spending several
days here with her sister, Mrs.
Floyd Welch, and her brother, J.
Frank Ray. Mrs. Bailey will be
remembered as Miss Zula Ray.
