PAGE EIGHT THE FRANKLIN PRESS and THE HIGHLANDS MACONIAN THURSDAY, AUGUST 9, 1934 Horseshoe Pitching League Planned Interest seems to be increasing around the county in the old fashioned pastime of pitching horse shoes. As a result, some of the most ardent devotees of the game want to organize a shoe pitchers league and put on some contests to decide who are the champions of the qounty. C. E. Mostellcr, of Prentiss, who is heading the movement to organ ize a league, has requested that all persons interested in joining get in touch with him. All that's neces sary to join is a liking for the game. If a sufficient number of persons are interested, Mr. Mostel lcr plans to arrange a series of tournaments between teams from different sections of the county, with jackpot prizes offered the winners.
