After some discussion it was decided to name the new or ganization the Satulah club, for the club owns the top of Satulah moun tain. Baty took place in Clayton, Ga., Satur day afternoon, September 22. Mrs. Baty is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Hopper of Clay ton. She spent the past summer in Highlands. Mr. Baty, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Baty, was graduated from the Highlands high CORBIN FAMILY HOLDS REUNION More than 400 at Family Gathering at Home of Dewey Corbin More than 400 relatives and in vited guests attended the Corbin reunion at the home of Dewey Corbin on Rabbit Creek Sunday. It, is un derstood the drainage was for the purpose of raising the dam. It is hoped also that the drainage will serve to check the growth of water lillies, which in some sections of the lake have grown so thick as to make it almost impassable for row boats. MAKING FISH SURVEY Two government officials were in this vicinity this week making a survey of the streams to determine their capacity for restocking with fish. CAMP NEARING COMPLETION The new CCC camp in Horse Cove is nearing completion and is expected to open with a full quota of boys, about 220 in all, by next Saturday. WORK STARTED ON TRI-STATE ROAD The Tri-State road is closed in Georgia between Highlands and Walhalla for long hoped for con struction work. Contract was re cently let by the Georgia highway authorities for regrading of that section of the road through Geor gia, a distance of about eight miles. Traffic is being detoured via Dfl lard and Clayton, Ga. C.
