Gilmer Crawford has returned to his home here after acoompanying his w'ife and two children to Day tona Beach, Fla., where they will spend a few weeks. Mrs. Sam L. Rogers returned to her home at Rogers Hall Wedne,s- day .after a visit with her daughter, Mrs. L, B. Hayes,, in Greensboro, and her son, Wiley Rogers, in At lanta, Ga. Air. and Mrs. Jack Sanders and -two sons, Milton and Sol, spent Sunday in Atlanta, (ia., visiting friends. Mrs, R, S, Jones, Mrs, Emory Hunnicutt and Mrs. B, W, Johnson spent Tuesday in Highlands visit- ifig A'Irs. P'rank Cook. Mr, and Mrs, Allen Siler moved their residence Monday from Franklin to Brevard, w'here Mr. Siler is resident engineer for the State Highway and Public Works commission, Mr, Siler is in charge of a highway project in the Pisgah forest' area which is expected to require a year or more to con struct. Mrs. Lassie Kelly Cunningham, who went to Tucson, Ariz., some w'eeks ago to recuperate from a long illness, is greatly improved friends here have been informed. Her condition is so much better that she is now able to drive her car. She is expected to return to Franklin early in April. Dr. and Mrs. J. H. Fouts at tended the 93rd birthday anniver sary of Mr. Elbert Watson at Glenville Monday. Mr. Watson was reported to be in fair health and his mind was more active than many a younger man’s. Miss Endora Parker and Hay- woo'd Trotter, of Charlotte, spent the week-end visiting Mr, Trotter’s' parents,, Mr, and Mrs. John S. Trotter, at their home on Summer Hill. Charlie Grindstaff and family have moved from the Campbell house on Ch,urch Street to the P^eid house in east Franklin. K. R. Helton, of Fort McClellan, Ala., spent the week-end here, a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Ledford on lotla Street. Howard Horsley, Jr., son of Dr. and Mrs. H. T. Horsley, who has had a severe case of pneumonia, w'as reported to be somewhat im proved Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Gaston Curtis, of .Atlanta, Ga., spent Sunday visiting Mr. Curtis’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Curtis. George Carpenter spent Sunday in Hayesville visiting friends. J.
