ret Adelaide, to Mr. John Warner
Cooper, of Athens, Ga.
The bride-elect, is a graduate of.
the Woman's college, of the Uni
versity of North Carolina at Greens
boro, where she majored in music,
Since graduation, Miss McGuire
has been engaged in teaching pub
lic school music in Charlotte pub
lic schools and later in private
teaching in Franklin.
Mr. Cooper,-is a graduate of the
school of Forestry of the Univer
sity of Georgia, at Athens,, Ga. He
is now located in Cleveland, Tenn.,
as ranger in the Cherokee National
Forest, and was at one time locat
ed in Franklin.

to her home on Franklin Route 1,
Monday after spending the week
end in Forest City visiting rela
tives and friends.

printing shop at Spindale, spent
the week-end here with his family.
On his return he was accompanied

their home in Spindale.

Dock Sellers, of Prentiss, went
to Asheville Monday to attend the
funeral of his daughter, Mrs. J.
Bruce! Gordon, the former Miss
Mary Louise Sellers, who was in
jured in an automobile accident
near Asheville Thursday night and
died in an Asheville hospital Sun
day morning. . .
Mrs. T. J. McGuire, of Cullasaja,
was here Tuesday shopping.
Miss Mildred Moore left Sunday
for Raleigh where she will spend
two weeks on business.
