Miss Margaret Han, daughter of Mr. and Mrs David iu. Hall, of Sylva, and , Charles Norman Dowdle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark L. Dowdfe, of Franklin, was solemnized Saturday evening at 8 :30 o'clock at the Methodist church in Sylva. The Rev. George B. Clemmer, of Albe marie, ,: former pastor of the bride, officiated. - The .church was decorated with evergreens and ferns which formed a ' background for four wrought iron candelabra, each bearing seven white candles. Between these were tall white urns filled with' white chrysanthemums. The windows were also banked with greenery and held white candles. , ' Prior to the ceremony Miss Mar garet Candler, pianist, and Miss Virginia Gustaf son, violinist, gave the following musical program: , "Traumerei" by Schuman; "Salut d'Amour" by Edward Elgar"; Cava Una 4y Raff, "The Old Refrain" by Kreisler; "Russian Romance" by Friml; - and "Venetian Love Song" by Ethelbert Nevin. Miss Dorothy Moore sang "All For You" by Bertrand . Brown, "Because" by D'Hardelot and the concluding prayer, "Oh Perfect Love." During the ceremony "To a Wild Rose" by McDowell" was played. The Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin was used as a processional and Mendelsshon s Wedding March as the recessional. Miss Hazel Plaster, of Winston Salem, was maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were' Miss Geraldine Johnson, of Rocky -Mount; Miss Elizabeth Dowdle, of Franklin, sist er of1 the bridegroom; Miss Han nah Lou ,' Brown, of Cullowhee, cousin' of the bride; Miss Anne Enloe, of DJHsb6.ro, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Mark Martin, of Sylva. HALL-BULCIN Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Anna Jean Hall and Georce Brabson Bulgin, which ws solemnized in Clayton, Ga., Friday evening, April 16. t rank Smith, ordinary, officiated. Mrs. Bulgin is the elder daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver V. Hall, of Franklin. She received her education in the Franklin high school and is now cashier; in the Macon Theatre. Mr . Bulein. the youngest son of Mrs. George M. Bulgin and the late George M. Bulgin. of Frank lin, is a graduate of the Franklin high school and attended Maryville college, in Maryville, Tenn. He is now employed in Detroit, Mich. Mrs. Bulgin will join her hus band in Detroit soon, where they plan to make their home in the future. Mrs. John Rigdbn, who has been spending several months in Frank lin with her daughter, Mrs. R. M. Rimmer and Dr. Rimmer, at . their home on West Main street, has returned to her home in Tifton, Ga. On her return she, was ac companied by Mrs. Rimmer and Mrs. John G. Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Neville Sloan and Neville, Jr., and Miss Timoxena Sloan, of Atlanta, spent the week end here with their mother, and grandmother, Mrs. J. S. Sloan at her -home in East Franklin. On their return Monday, they were ac companied by W. W. Sloan, who will spend several days in Atlanta visiting. William Blaine, a student at Mars Hill college, spent the week end here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Blaine, at their home on Harrison avenue. Mrs. Mary Allman has been con fined to her bed for the past week suffering from an attack of in fluenza. Finley and family have moved from the Orlando ap artments on Harrison avenue to the Lancaster house on Riverview street. Miss Annie Slagle has returned to her home on Cartoogechaye after a visit in Concord with her niece, Mrs. C. R. Zachary and Air. Zachary.
