Funeral Rites Conducted
At Pleasant Hill
Baptist Church
Grover Cleveland Stamey, 4.5,
died at his home seven miles south
of. Franklin on the Georgia high
way, Monday morning at 5:15, fol
lowing a three weeks' illness. The
week before Mr. Stamey had und
ergone an operation at Angel hos
pital for a ruptured appendix.
Mr. Stamey "was a farmer and
operated a grocery . store and . fill
ing station. He . was a member of
the Pleasant Hill Baptist church.
Funeral services were held Tues
day afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the
Pleasant Hill Baptist church. The
Rev. 'John A. Brendle had charge
of the final rites.
The active pallbearers were: R.

Franklin on Thursday, December
9, at 7:30 p, m.
This meeting will be attended by
S. Gilmer Sparger, secretary
NCPIC, who will discuss the prob
lems confronting all who handle
petroleum products.
At 10 o'clock in the morning of
the day the meeting is to be held
all wholesale oil dealers and com
pany district salesmen in the county
are asked to meet Mr. Sparger at
the Scott, Griffin hotel for a 15
minute conference,
