Mr. and Mrs. Robert Southard
announce the engagement of their
daughter, Bertha Ann, to J. Lamar
Tompkins, of Leesburg, Fla., the
wedding to take place in the early
tart of January.
Miss Southard is a graduate of
the" Franklin high school and of
the Grady hospital training school
for nurses in Atlanta. At present
she is a member of the nursing
staff of the Theresa Holland hos
pital in Leesburg, Fla.
Mr. Tompkins graduated from the
Leesburg. high school and then at
tended the ' University of Florida
in Gainesville. He is now manager
of , the Lake View, hotel in Leesburg.
