SLAGLE The regular monthly meeting of the Woman's Missionary society of the Methodist church will be held on Thursday afternoon, "March 3, at the home of Mrs. A. B. Slagle. All members are urged to be present. J. A. Conley left. Saturday for Albany, Ga., for a visit with his daughter, Mrs. E. E. Watkins and Mr. Watkins. W. R. Johnston, of Sylvester, Ga., is spending several days here with his sister, Mrs. 'Mary ' Allman, at the home of Mrs. T. J. Johnston, on Harrison avenue and also visit ing his niece, Mrs. G. I Houk and Mr. Houk while here. . Mr. 'and Mrs. Kenneth Trausdell and young son spent the week-end in Greenwood, S. C, with relatives ' and frierrds. Dr. and Mrs. R. M. Rimmer went to Atlanta Sunday to see their sister-in-law, Mrs. Tom Rigdon, who is a patient in Piedmont hos pital. George McClure, who is attend ing school at Clemson College, spent the past week-end with his mother, Mrs. C. H. McClure. Miss Annie Lou Moore, of Sylva, spent the past week with Miss . Mrs. Joe Sweatman, who has been seriously ill at her home on Cartoogechaye, was reported Tues day to be slightly improved. Mrs. Robert E. Pattillo left Mon day for Bryson City for a visit with her daughter,' Mrs. Allen Siler and Mr. Siler. ' , Miss Christine Browning, who is attending Mars Hill . college, is spending a few days with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown ing, at their home on Oak.Grove. Mrs. Elsie Rake arid three chil dren have returned to their home at Draper, after spending several weeks here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Sanders. ' Mrs. W. T. , Moore returned to her home here Friday after spend ing"10 days in Asheville visiting her cousin, Mrs. Nat Gennett and Mrs. Gennett. . Harry McDowell, who is now making his home' in Petersburg, Va., is spending several days here and at Otto with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. R. .T. Bryson, of Detroit, Mich., came in Sunday for a two weeks visit with their fath ers, Robert T. Bryson and. W. C. Sheffield at their homes at West's Mill, and-other relatives while here. Miss Rosalee Wallin, of Marshall, a student at Carolina Teachers' col lege at Cullowhee, accompanied Miss Virginia Tilley, also a, student at Cullowhee, are here for a visit with Miss Tilley's parents, Mr. and. Mrs. C. S. Ralph Dobson, who was called home on account of the death of his brother, Oscar L.
