CLINIC PROVES
QUITE SUCCESSFUL
The pre-schooL pre-natal -and
well-baby clinic held irt Highlands
was quite successful.
There were a large number of
pre-school children examined in the
presence of their parents. Nutrition
and oral hygiene were the chief
defects found. There were few who
had enlarged or defected tonsils.
Parents were urged to have these
defects corrected before the child
centers school the coming fall. Most
of this group were vaccinated for
diphtheria, smallpox and had re
cently had typhoid vaccination.
The pre-natal and well-baby clin
ic was attended fairly well. The ex
pectant mothers showed a great in
terest in their condition and prom
ised to attend trie clinic regularly.
Mothers were anxious to have their
babies examined and were appar
ently interested and appreciative of
the advice given. On a whole both
mothers and babies were benefited
by their attendance. Similar clinics
wll be held at regular ntervals.
