College Station, Raleigh, May 11. Plans for next fall's student agri
culture fair, held annually by the State College. School of Agriculture,
went forward today with announcement of the election of the three
officers pictured above. ' .
. 1). l'atton, the president, is the son of R. A. Pat ton, of Franklin.
Wayne L. Franklin, vice-president, also comes from Franklin, and is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Franklin. Charles' A Hunter, secretary,
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. IL B. Hunter, of Charlotte.
The student agriculture fair is held annually in conjunction with the
state fair, and is an outgrowth of the corn shows started in 1913 a
State college by Prof. C L. Newman. The fair was transferred from
the campus to the state exposition in 1928. Ten large exhibits dealing
with the practical side of their studies are designed and displayed by
the agriculture students.
