William Moore, 53
Dies Of Heart Attack
William Moore, 53, .farmer of the
Coweta section, died near Clayton,
Ca., Saturday nin'ht about. 9 o'clock
of a heart attack. With two com
panions, he had gone to Clayton to
lay for a dance ' and was stricken
while playing.
The funeral' services were held
Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at
the Wolfork' Baptist church near
Mountain City, Ga. Mr. Moore was
a member of that church.
More Than 1,600 Dogs

Dr. Ralph West, veterinarian,
' stated Monday that lie had up to
that time vccainated more than
1,6(X) dogs in Macon county.
He also stated that all clog own
ers who have not 'had their dogs
vaccinated should do so at once to
avoid fine.
All stray dogs found running
loose without tags showing they
have been vaccinated may be. killed,
he further stated.

CHRISTINE HALL
Mrs. Boise Hall, gave a party
Saturday afternoon, honoring her
daughter, Christine, on 'her fifth
birthday .anniversary. Many out
door games were enjoyed by all
and the little honoree was the re
cipient of many beautiful gifts.
Those enjoying the hospitality of
Mrs. Hall were: Jack and Char
lotte Love, Ruth and Louise Moore,
Georgia Nell and Jean McDonnell,
Max 'Phillips, Joan Palmer and
James Saunders,
At the conclusion of the party,
the hostess served delicious refreshments.
Mrs. George Scott and daughter,
Miss Virginia Scott; Miss Mildred
Cabe; the Rev. Harry S. Williams
and Harold T. Sloan, Jr., were vis
iting in Highlands last Thursday.
Miss Ruby Tallcy and Miss
Frances Robinson, who are working
in Highlands, spent Wednesday
night with their parents, Jack Tal
ley and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Rob
inson, at their home on Franklin
Route 4. .
Mrs. Charlie Saunders and daugh
ter, Edna, who have( been ill for
the past week, are reported to be
improving.
The Epworth League of the
Bethel Methodist church entertain
ed with a weiner roast last Thurs
day night, in honor of Miss Vir
ginia Scott, who is leaving Sunday
for Athens, Ga., where she will
enter Athens Business college.-
