Miss Mock is the daughter of the late Rev. Mr. Mock, former pastor of the Franklin Methodist church, and Mrs. Mock, who is now dean of women at the Brevard college. Mrs. Charles Hendrix, of Gaines ville, Fla., is spending several days with her daughter, Mrs. S. H. Lyle and Mr. Lyle, at their home on Harrison avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Branson Rogers have returned to their home in Jesups, Md., after a visit here with Mrs. Rogers' mother, Mrs. Erwin Pat ton, at her home on Franklin Route 1. Charles B. Bolick, Chreighton Maffitt and -daughter, Sybil, return ed to their homes in Arlington, Va., Saturday, after, spending sev eral days in Franklin and the sur rounding vicinity visiting relatives and friends. On their return they were accompanied by Wiley Sellers, of Franklin Route 4, who will spend several weeks in Virginia. Mrs. Bo lick. and Mrs.. Maffitt will spend a month here with relatives and friends. C, have returned to their home after a Visit with Mr. Ledbetter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Ledbetter, at their home on Franklin Route 2. ; Mrs. Sam L. Rogers, who has been sick for several days, was re ported Wednesday to be improved. Mrs. Pope Ellard and daughter, Katherine, and son, Martin, of Cornelia, Ga., spent Monday as the guests of Dr. and Mrs. R. M. Rim mer at their home on West Main street. Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Ledbetter and children, of Newton Center, Mass., recently spent several days visiting Mr. Ledbetter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Ledbetter, at their home on Franklin Route 2. Mr. Ledbetter is sales manager for the Champion Spark Plug company, covering the New England states. Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Johnston, of .Tampa, Fla., enroute to New York, Philadelphia and other points, stopped in Franklin for a short visit with Mr. Johnston's mother, Mrs. F. S. Johnston, and sister, Mrs. Guy L. Franklin Man Injured In Auto Accident Mereff Matheson, 22, of Franklin, suffered a broken collar bone, frac tured . shoulder and several broken ribs Sunday afternoon when the car he was driving went over an embankment and turned over. . Matheson was brought to Angel hospital and remained unconscious for several hours, but is now said to be doing nicely. Three compan ions, who were riding with Mathe son, were uninjured.
