The pic nic was in honor of Rev. and Mrs. W. B. Underwood, former pastor of the Baptist church, and their daughter, .Helen, and a girl friend of , Helen's. A picnic supper was enjoyed by all and after games were played. Mr. Underwood led the assembly in a short, but impressive prayer service. Then on Sunday afternoon, July 17, at 3 p. m., the Intermediate and Junior unions . went to Oak Dale and rendered a program, "Being Christians in Our Homes." A large crowd attended. As soon as the pro gram ended the young folks re turned to the Franklin church for their regular B. T. U. service, There in general assembly they rendered an interestinn "Radio De scription" on the Ridgecrest as sembly. The B. T. U. executive council met Monday night in the church and laid plans for the regular monthly B. T. U. business meeting to be held Tuesday .night, July 28.
