INTEREST IN ORGANIZATION
OF HIGH SCHOOL BAND
Need for a school band at the
Franklin High School is arousing
much interest among the students
Hardly any school of this size is
without a band. : Many students say
that they are willing to buy in
struments and take lessons, if they
can get a music teacher. A band
puts more pep into the football
squad and cheers the boys, even
when the game seems almost lost.
Those who are interested in foot
ball should be interested in helping
to organize a high school band.
The band could be used not only
to "pep up" the football games and
various athletic meets, but to add
interest and zest to other activities,
such as plays and P.-T. A. pro
grams. ' Weaver Shope. ,
