Judge Ramey 4 performed the ceremony in the presence of a few close friends. Mrs. Nicholson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Osoar Ledford, She was attired in a suit of light blue and her accessories were of ' navy blue. i , Mr. Nicholson is the son of-Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Nichols of Sylva. He is at present employed by the Cogdill Motor company. They were accompanied by Miss Edith Davis and Ernest Fox, i of Sylva, and Miss Pallie Ledford and Miss Agnes Ledford, of Franklin. MRS. BROWNING MOVES TO BRYSON CITY ; " Mrs. Bessie Mashburn Browning, whose wedding to Charles R. Browning, Sr., of Bryson' City, was ' a recent social event, has moved to Bryson City, where1 they will make their home in the future. JOHNSON .The Macon County Chapter of the United Daughters of Confed eracy met on Monday afternoon with Mrs. J. W. C. Johnson at Trimont Jnn on Harrison avenue for the regular monthly business and social meeting. There were 11 members present ,ana one visitor. The meeting was opened by the reading of the ritual, by the presi dent, Mrs. Carl S. Slagle, who also presided over the business session. It was decided at this time to sponsor a "Flag Day" on Saturday, October 29, with the proceeds being used for the benefit of the chapter. Sloan has returned to her home in East Franklin, after a visit with relatives and friends in Statesville. The Rev. L. B.
