Johnston Bible class met last Thursday .afternoon at Miss Amy Harrison's camp at Arrowood Glade for their regular monthly meeting, with Mrs. M. D. Billings and Mrs. Lon Campbell, as assisting Sioste&s.es. The, old officers presided at this last meeting and a full financial re port was read by Mrs; Vage for the year's work of the class. The new officers, took their respective places at the class meeting on Sunday morning. . After the business session, an in teresting contest was held. Each meniDer had been ' requested to bring her baby picture tand Mrs. L. S. Coniey won the prize for guess ing the nearest number correctly, ,Thirty-four members of the class enjoyed the afternoon meeting ana social. The hostesses served a Hallowe'en plate, which contained pumpkin cus tard pie, with grapes and a clip of coffee. Mr. and Mrs. James E. Perry and Vic Perry went to Chapel Hill on Friday for a visit with their sons and brother, Winton and Jimmy. Perry, who are students at Lhapei Hill. While there they attended the Carolina-Duke game on Saturday, returning home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Moody and family have moved from the Stew art house, recently purchased Dy Dr. Furman ' Angel, to tne John Moore house on Kiver'view street. Barbour, of Atlanta, spent Friday and Saturday at Kelly's Tea room. . Mrs. E. F. Daniel, of Danville, Va., spent last week with her daughter, Mrs. W. W. Sloan. Mrs. Lyles Jones, of Asheville, wa also a guest of Mrs. Sloan iast week and upon their return Mrs. Sloan accompanied them to Asheville where she visited for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth B. Trous dell have moved to Arkansas where Mr..Trousdell has been transferred. Mrs. Trousdell and small son, Bruce, are spending some time with Mrs. Trousdcll's mother at Greenwood, S. before going on to Arkansas. Miss Margaret. W, Porter, Jr. Mr. and Mrs, Porter are living in Nashville, Tenn. On October 28, a son was born to Mr. und Mrs. Charles H. Perry, of El Reno, Okla.
