TO MEET DECEMBER 22 The Woman's Missionary Union of the Franklin Baptist church will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, December 22, at 3 o'clock. Circle No. 1 will meet at the home of Mrs. Jack E. Weyman, on Harrison avenue, while Circle No. 2 will meet with Mrs. A. R. Higdon, at her home on the Georgia road. All members are urged to attend. Mrs. Eloise G. Franks and Mrs. Harriet R. Whitaker attended the national welfare conference in Washington, D. C, December 10 and 11. Miss Rosalind Bulgin will leave Friday morning for Gainesville, Ga., where she will supply as dietition in the Downey hospital for a month. Wayne Franklin, a student at State college at Raleigh, is at home to spend the holidays with his wife in Franklin and with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Frank lin, on Franklin Route 4. William Blaine, Alex Moore, Jr. and Hobart Rogers, all of Franklin ; tnd Wilbur Picklesimer, of High lands, will return home from Mars Hill college Friday for the Christ mas holidays.
