Christmas Pageant
On Thursday, December 22, at 8
o'clock in the theatre, Highlands
will have its first community
Christmas pageant. This is being
given under the sponsorship of the
Funmakers and the four churches.
Mrs. Charles Anderson and Mrs.
Tudor Hall are in charge of cos
tumes and will welcome the assis
tance of anyone who can volunteer.
Astelle Edwards and Sarah Thomp
son will supervise the decorating of
the theatre. But everyone in the
community should feel that the
evening belongs to him, and that
ne lias an active, part in it.
This program has been planned
as truly a community affair, and
iurely at Christmas there is the
feeling of brotherly love and friendr
ship for our neighbors that will
make the residents of Highlands
eager to share together their cele
bration of Christmas, and the Fun
makers are hoping, that with the
cooperation of the town, a Christ
mas tree can be erected in the
center of town. From here the
three choruses will lead a caroling
way to the theatre, with everyone
who will join the procession to
make the mountains echo with the
ringing of Christmas joy.

If You
Lived On

the Roof
Under It
All of us are prone to give closer attention to
things that are constantly before us. That's why
floors generally receive more care than roof tops.
But the roof is even more important than the
floor, for a leaky roof results in serious damage
to the whole structure. The wise home owner
will keep his roof in good condition always.
If you have a roofing problem, consult us and .
we will be glad to help you solve it. Maybe your
roof can be easily repaired. Maybe you need
a new roof. In either instance we can be of ser
vice to you and will be glad to furnish free.esti-
mates for repairs or for new roofs.
