Frank Shope has returned to his
work in Nashville, Tenn., after
spending a couple of weeks visiting

Mr. and Mrs, Harry Holt and
daughter, Martha, of Highlands,
spent Tuesday here with friends.
Miss Ruth Slagle, who is teach
ing school at Burgaw, has returned
to her work after spending the
holidays with her parents, Mr. and

Mrs, Wade Moody and daughter,

days with Mrs. Moody's mother,
Mrs, John Ramsey, at her home on

Joseph Fouts, who is working in
Katonah, N. Y., came in to spend
the Christmas holidays with his

Mrs. Reba Tessier has returned
to her home in East Franklin, after
spending the week-end in Asheville
with her cousins, Mr. and Mrs
Weimer Jones.
Mr. and Mrs. John Archer and
two children left Thursday morn
ing for New Smyrna, Fla., where
Mrs. Archer and children will spend
the remainder of the winter. Mr,
Archer plans to return to Frank
lin within a few days.
Mr. and Mrs. Guy L. Houk and
son, Frederick Johnston Houk, rer
turned to their home here Monday,
after spending a couple of weeks in
Tampa,- Fla., with Mrs. Houk's
mother, Mrs. F. S. Johnston, and
other relatives in Tampa.

spent the latter part of the week

returned to their home in Decatur,
Ga., Monday after spending several
days with Mr. Johnston's mother,
Mrs. T. J. Johnston, who is quite
ill at Angel hospital. .

among the business visitors here

ed to her home at Bryson City,
after a visit here with her nephew,

Fred Gray has returned to Clem
son College in Clemson, S. C, after
spending the week-end with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Gray,
at their home on Route 1.
