Their charming home was at tractively decorated throughout and the beautifully appointed dinner table lighted with many candles. High score prize were won by Mrs. T. J. O'Neil and John Ansel,' low score prizes went to Miss Cleobelle Moore and Charles Rus sell; Mrs. T. J. O'Neil also winning the draw prize. Guests for the evening were : the Rev. and Mrs. Frank Bloxham, Mr. and Mrs. Ben W. Woodruff, Mr. and Mrs. St. Clair Anderson, Dr. and Mrs. T. J. O'Neil, Mr. and Mrs. Carl P. Cabe, Mrs. W. H. Sellers, Mrs. J. W. C Johnson and her guest, Mrs. Thomas. J. Woold ridge, - of Asheville, John Ansel, Miss Qeobelle Moore and Charles Russell. A small sum was charged, the amount realized being presented to the Rev, Mr. Bloxham as a volun tary offering for the work of St. Agnes Episcopal church, which was acknowledged with a gracious speech of appreciation in behalf of the congregation. Lester Arnold, register of deeds for Macon county, left Sunday for Raleigh, where he spent several days on business. Mrs. George A. Jones and son, R. S. Jones, spent the week-end in Asheville with their son and brother, Weimer Jones, and family. On their return Monday they were accompanied by Mrs. Jones and daughter, Elizabeth, who spent the first of the week in Franklin vis iting relatives and friends..
