F16 4tp M9 Youth Crusade Rally At Waynesville March 7 There is to be held Tuesday night, March 7, at 7:30 p. m. at the First Methodist church m Waynes ville, a District Wide Youth Cru sade Rally. The Waynesville dis trict is composed of the following counties: Transylvania, Haywood, Jackson, Swain, Macon, Graham, Cherokee, and Clay. From these counties it is expected that 1000 young people will attend this great Youth Crusade Rally. These young people will hear two most outstanding addresses : "Youth Moves On," and "Ready for Life's. Opportunities, by the Rev. W. A. Kale of Mooresville, and Dr. W. A. Stanbury of Asheville, respec tively. The young people themselves will have the responsibility of the program. The leaders of the two young peoples.' unions, Haywood coun'ty, and the Jackson-Swain counties, will be in charge of' the program for the most part. LITTLE ROBERT FINLEY HAS BIRTHDAY PARTY Robert Finley, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Finley! whose birthday only comes, once every four years, February 29, was entertained at a party on Wednesday, March 1, Mrs. Finley entertained 12 of Robert's little friends at her home on Riverview street, honoring him on his third , birthday -anniversary. The table was centered with a beautiful white birthday cake, bear ing three blue candles. , Indoor games were played during the evening and at the conclusion of the party, the hostess served ice cream and individual cakes. Each guest was presented a balloon and a French harp as a souvenir. The honoree was the recipient of many little birthday gifts. Those enjoying the party with Robert were: Julia Moody, Sue Williams, Martha Stockton, Nancy Jane McCollum and Ann Cabe, Douglas Nichols, III, Bobby Ty- singer, jr., uanny Angei, iviax Henderson, George Wells and Gray- don Shuford. Frank Murray has been confined to his home this week suffering with influenza. Mr., and Mrs.' Oliver Guffey and young daughter, of Hazard, Ky., spent Tuesday with Mr. Guffey's brother, Lee Guffey and Mrs. Guf fey.
