The' wedding took place in Clarkesville, Ga., on Saturday aft ernoon, August 19, in the presence ji a lew close friends. Mrs. Holland is . the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Cabe. For tne past three years' she has been teaching in the Macon coun ty public schools. Mr. Holland U the son of Mr. and Mrs, P. G. Holland, of Culla saja. He is now living in Tennes see where he has had' employment for the past two years. SISSON-SHOPE Mr. and Mrs. Kichard L. Sisson, of KuUawa, Ky., have announced the marriage of their daughter, Mrs. Sadie Sisson Yates to J. Frank Shope, of Franklin and Nashville, Tenn. The wedding ceremony was per formed at Fulton, Ky., on Satur day, ' August 5, at the Methodist par.sonage, with the Kev. W. N, Wilford, officiating. Mrs. Shope is assistant post mistress at Kuttana, and a mem ber of a very prominent family. Mr. Shope is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Zeb V. Shope, of Prentiss. He was connected with the Nanta liala national forest service prior to his transfer to Nashville, Tenn., where he is now employed in the U. S. engineering department. For the past two months he has been in Kuttawa on the - survey of the Cumberland river. Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Mooney ham, of Kuttawa, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Shope to Fulton, where the vows were exchanged. Mr. and Mrs. Shopewill reside in Kuttawa, each continuing in their present employment. They have teen extensively en tertained by the United States engineering department and fnends of the bride in Kuttawa. BELA1RE-FOUT5 Mildred Rose Belaire, of Grosse Pointe, Mich., became the bride of Robert "Lee Fouts, formerly of Franklin, and son of Mrs. Rosa Foute and the late Mr. C. H. Fouts, of Franklin, at a i double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Zawyer at 4 o'clock Sunday evening, August 6, at the Wood ward avenue Baptist church, De troit, Mich. The bride, who was given in marriage by her sister, Mrs. Leo Thoman, was gowned in white satin made on princess lines, with slimv skirt and fitted bodice cov ered with white marquisette. Her finger tip veil of white fell from she carried an arm bouquet of white rose,; Ruth Chick, of Detroit, as maid of honor wore a frock of rose colored net over satin and she carried pink roses. Vance Fouts assisted his brother as best man and the ushers were Buford Fouts and Blanton Fouts, also brothers of the groom. Little Mary Thuman, niece of the bride, a ring bearer wore a ' long baby pink dress covered with pink net. A reception for the families and friends followed the ceremony. The bride's table was adorned with a four-tiered bridal cake flanked with white roses. . Mrs. C. H. Fouts, of Franklin, was in Detroit visiting her sons and was present at the wedding. The bride and groom are making their home in Detroit. Miss Myrtle Bolick, left on Fri day of the past week for Winston Salem, where she will teach in the public schools. The condition of George Guffey, of West's Mill, who has been suf fering severely with his eye, was reported to be unchanged the" first of the week.
